Formula 1

The first ever Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in December 2021 was hosted in Jeddah on a brand new purpose-built street circuit called the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. The 6.174 km (3.836 mile) track runs along the Red Sea coastline in the coastal resort area of Jeddah. It features an incredibly long sequence of flat-out blasts along two ridiculously long straights separated by a high-speed hairpin bend. At 1.2 miles (1.9km), the main straight is the longest of any circuit on the current F1 calendar.

With top speeds reaching around 210 mph (340 km/h), the Jeddah street circuit is considered one of the fastest and most demanding tracks in Formula 1. It has a total of 27 corners, including 16 left-handers and 11 right-handers. You can find more in our blog about the inaugural race here.
