ATM Dubai

 

This week our founder Corina attended Arabian Travel Market in Dubai and here are some of the insights we learned: 

ATM 2025 featured 2,800 exhibitors from 166 countries, marking its largest edition to date. The event’s theme, “Global Travel: Developing Tomorrow’s Tourism Through Enhanced Connectivity,” underscored the UAE’s role in connecting global markets.

 

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia launched the immersive “Saudi Land” pavilion, highlighting destinations like Aseer’s mountains and the Red Sea’s coral reefs, aiming to boost summer tourism.

  • Aseer featured dishes from the region, flower crowns as well as showing us a different side to the country that was not just focused on luxury.
  • Al Baha brought their traditional clothing so you could experience first hand how different the regions are.
  • Al Ula showcased their unique heritage with beautiful visuals and you could actually get your name printed in the old Nabatean writing (check out Corina’s name)
  • Diriyah brought us the entertainment with music as well as featuring the iconic doors
  • The hotly anticipated Esports World Cup is coming up this summer and had its own stand
  • The World Cup for 2034 will have 5 host cities (Riyadh, Jeddah, NEOM, Abha and Al Khobar) 10 supporting cities, 15 stadiums, 134 Training sites and 232,000 rooms
  • Riyadh Air and Saudia brought us their iconic looks and had staff on hand to answer any questions about the countries carriers
  • You can now experience Cristiano Ronaldo’s itinerary in Al Ula and the Red Sea exclusively narrated by him with his favourite recommendations

  

 

UAE

UAE Hot projects for 2025: Dubai Islands in Dubai, Hatta Masterplan (Hatta is part of Dubai), Palm Jebel Ali – Dubai and Wynn Al Marjan Island – Ras Al Khaimah, Mira Coral Bay, Ras Al Khaimah

  • We saw a very strong presence of all the Emirates who showcased the different regions in the UAE very well
  • Abu Dhabi brings more sports to the region from the NBA to Euroleague Finals
  • Dubai Police showcased their fleet and safety statistics which coming from Europe were impressive
  • The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism received the Sustainable Stand Award for constructing 84% of its exhibition stand from reused materials.
  • The first Wynn property on Al Marjan Island in RAK stood out amongst all the hotels
  • Ajman’s 3 pillars to transform their tourism business are: focus on cultural heritage but make it sustainable whilst innovating

 

 

Qatar

  • Qatar Airways showcased their Starlink connection as well as their award winning airline
  • Qatar Hot project for 2025: Simaisma Project, Eastern Coast

Also Qatar had the best ice cream and coffee provided by Qinwan. Plus local artists entertained the visitors with calligraphy and local crafts.

 

 

Oman

  • OCEC (Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre unveiled a packed calendar for the forthcoming year with events such as Muscat International Book Fair
  • Oman also introduced new eco-tourism projects promoting sustainable travel experiences in its natural reserves.
  • Oman Hot project for 2025: Omani Mountain Destination, Jabal Akhdar

 

Kuwait

  • Kuwait unveiled initiatives to promote its rich cultural heritage, including museum expansions and heritage site restorations.

 

Bahrain

  • Bahrain announced plans for new luxury resorts along its coastline, targeting high-end travellers seeking exclusive experiences.
  • Bahrain Hot project for 2025: Galali Coast Waterfront Project, Muharraq Governorate
